Review: IBM Bluemix Bootcamp

What happend this weekend?

Saturday, August 19 Kjubit and IBM Austria teamed up to host Vienna’s finest IBM Bluemix Bootcamp!

We opened our doors just on time at 9am and welcomed everyone with a nice cup of coffee. After getting to know each other, Thomas Jirku from IBM Austria kicked off the official program with an introduction to IBM Austria. This was followed by an introduction to Kjubit – The Place for Developers.

After everyone had received his/her Bluemix promotion code, Markus Wals from IBM Austria introduced our Kjubits to some common workflows with IBM Bluemix (we like to call our attendees and community members Kjubits, who are getting more and more per day)! 🙂 He focused especially on visual recognition and showed how everything can be integrated with node-red.

Last but not least we discussed our upcoming Hackathon (September 23/24 at IBM Austria’s HQ). Participants are already able to register for the event >>> Participants can decide to hack Bragi’s AI earbuds, Nao-the robot or create an IoT environment with RaspberryPis. The best team will have the chance to present their project at the IBM Watson Summit in Vienna!
